Asymmetric Marquez tops Sachsenring FP1
Marc Marquez helped draw a line under his Assen disappointment by leading opening practice for the German MotoGP at Sachsenring. The Repsol Honda star, who lost out to Valentino Rossi in a dramatic final turn showdown in Holland, began exchanging the top spot with the 2015 title leader from the tenth minute of FP1. Marquez then made the top spot his own with a 1m 21.838s just after the halfway stage before fitting the new asymmetric Bridgestone front tyre, on offer for the first time in 2015, to find a further 0.072s on his penultimate lap.
