According to one of Michael Laverty's sponsors, the Ulsterman will be returning to MotoGP race action this weekend in Germany (see below). If the Aprilia test rider is indeed back on the grand prix grid, it raises questions about whether he will be on a third RS-GP - alongside Alvaro Bautista and Marco Melandri - or in place of the struggling Melandri... Laverty raced for PBM in MotoGP during 2013 and 2014 before returning to BSB this season. Alongside his BSB duties for Tyco BMW, Laverty signed on as an official Aprilia test rider.
