Bridgestone asymmetric front set for Sachsenring debut
Bridgestone's asymmetric front tyre will make its first appearance of the 2015 season at the Sachsenring in Germany this weekend. The tyre technology, which features different rubber compounds on each side, was first seen at Phillip Island and Valencia last season. The asymmetric front for Germany has been developed specifically for the unbalanced Sachsenring layout, featuring medium compound rubber on the centre section and left shoulder, with soft rubber on the right shoulder. The soft rubber will come into effect when the riders reach a lean angle of approximately 30° to allow optimum warm-up performance and edge grip in Sachsenring's right-handers, especially the high-speed turn 11...
