Jorge Lorenzo is reported to have tried a brand new Desmosedici GP18 chassis at yesterday's Mugello test which ended up washed out halfway through the afternoon. It is thought the new frame has been designed to help his trouble finding corner speed - something the jug-ears aero package has partly fixed - and to load the front tyre more so he doesn't have to choose the softest possible Michelin. A new aero package was also available for both works Ducati riders which Lorenzo tried but Andrea Dovizioso opted to focus on race setup.
