World Superbike racer Alex Lowes has completed his first outing on MotoGP machinery, after taking to the track on Monday at Brno for a quick run on Suzuka 8 Hour teammate Pol Espargaró’s Monster Tech 3 Yamaha. Given the short test at the end of the one-day MotoGP test as a reward for his Suzuka success, Lowes was competitive even after completing a handful of laps on the machine. And despite an ignominious end to the day after tipping off on his fastest lap of the day, he still left the test having impressed the Grand Prix paddock by running less than two seconds off the pace of the bike’s regular pilot.
