Reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez got his title defence off to a shaky start as he finished fifth at the Qatar Grand Prix, but he insists the result could have been worse. Marquez found himself in last place after veering wide on the very first corner. However, he battled back to overtake 19 other riders to finish in fifth place and earn Repsol Honda 11 crucial points. "We should be happy because we have salvaged eleven important points, when we could easily have left here with none," Marquez told the official MotoGP website.
