MotoGP tyre supplier Michelin says the tyre failure that affected Scott Redding in Argentina is totally unrelated to the problem that caused Loris Baz to crash at high speed in Sepang testing. Redding's incident during FP4 at Termas de Rio Hondo resulted in a shortened flag-to-flag race, after Michelin had initially withdrawn its two rear compounds for safety reasons.
