Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso said that starting the MotoGP season off with a second place finish at the Qatar Grand Prix on Sunday was a dream start for the team. In 2015 at the same circuit, Dovizioso finished second battling with Yamaha's Valentino Rossi for victory and this time around it was a battle with race winner Jorge Lorenzo also on a Yamaha. In Sunday's race, the Ducati's top end speed saw the Italian get ahead of Lorenzo but the defending world champion re-took the lead and Dovizioso spent the latter stages of the race defending his second place position from the challenge of Marc Marquez of the Repsol Honda Team.
