Valentino Rossi says he will use the hybrid 2015-16 Yamaha MotoGP bike going forward, having compared it to the full 2016 version during the final day of testing at Phillip Island. As the second pre-season test drew to a close on Friday, Rossi ended as top Yamaha rider in fifth place, 0.277s adrift of pacesetter Marc Marquez. The Italian had spent the day comparing the hybrid bike – which uses last year's frame with an updated engine, suspension and electronics – and the full 2016 bike, and concluded the hybrid was the better choice.
