Gaining wet weather experience biggest positive for Marquez
Marc Marquez felt that gathering experience with Michelin's wet tyres was the biggest positive to take from a frustrating first day of MotoGP testing at Phillip Island that was continually interrupted by bad weather. Having set his fastest time – a 1m 35.354s lap - on the French firm's new intermediate compound tyre just after 13.30, Marquez lapped the circuit on just one more occasion in the afternoon as track conditions continually switched from wet to dry.
