The opening MotoGP test of 2016 is underway at Sepang in Malaysia. Due to the change from Bridgestone to Michelin tyres and introduction of a single ECU, many factories have substantial developments to try before settling on their 2016 race machinery. Yamaha has two different M1s available for Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, the most obvious difference being fuel tank position, while Honda's priority is to evaluate two different engine specifications with factory stars Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa.
