Ducati confirms Stoner as test rider in 2016
Ducati has confirmed that two-time MotoGP champion Casey Stoner will join the team next season as a test rider. The news follows hot on the heels of Honda's announcement of the Australian departing the Japanese manufacturer at the end of the year, putting an end to a five-year partnership that yielded the 2011 MotoGP title and 15 race wins. Stoner first joined Ducati in 2007, winning the Italian marque's first and so far only premier class title that season, and took a total of 23 victories in four seasons with the team.
