Gresini's Enea Bastianini claimed his third pole position of the season after beating the traffic and the clock with a perfectly timed lap as the action heated up in the Moto3 qualifying at Misano. The session only really came into it's own in the final five minutes as the riders dropped into the 1m 42 times for the first time during qualifying and it was Honda rider Bastianini who took full advantage with a 1m 42.486 on his penultimate lap, despite being slowed after finding Jorge Martin drifting on the racing line, narrowly avoiding contact.
