Reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez made quick work of negating his career worst 13th place start in the Italian Grand Prix - only to see his title hopes dealt a further hefty blow when he crashed out of a podium place. The incident was all the more frustrating for the Repsol Honda star since he had 'done the hard work' by carving his way up to fourth on a typically daring opening lap. With Jorge Lorenz disappearing into the distance, Marquez then spent the rest of his race battling for second with Ducati's Andrea Iannone.
