Redding disappointed with sixth row start
Scott Redding was left disappointed after his early promise in free practice failed to materialise as the EG 0,0 Marc VDS Honda rider qualified down in 17th place. Redding began Friday on a high as he ended FP1 and FP2 in seventh and eighth places respectively, but his final best lap of 1m 48.120s in qualifying placed him on row six. “I've felt good all weekend and then we got bumped down into Q1 which was frustrating. I tried to make the lap time in the qualifying session but I kind of went back to my old style of being aggressive and the lap time didn't come,” said the British rider.
