Marquez quickest on drying track in FP2
Marc Marquez forged to the top of the times in FP2 on a drying track at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas with a flying final lap. The MotoGP world champion made the most of the improved conditions towards the end of the session to grab the top spot on the RC213V, lapping in 2m 04.835s to bump Andrea Iannone into second place on the Ducati, before Britain's Cal Crutchlow bettered his time on the CWM LCR Honda to slot in behind Marquez on his last lap with a time of 2m 05.162s. Crutchlow's time was 0.327s behind Marquez, who is bidding for a third straight at the Austin MotoGP this weekend.
