The second day test honours went to Yamaha's Maverick Viñales as the Spaniard posted a 1:54.455 laptime to go quickest ahead of team-mate Valentino Rossi, 0.277s shy of the top spot. Yamaha might have been quickest, but it was Ducati that stole the headlines as it debuted its new 'Hammerhead' front-end. The new fairing design is a solution to the winglet ban and Andrea Dovizioso was given the first opportunity to trial it during the test.
