Suzuki will continue to push for podiums at the last three MotoGP rounds of the season, despite being just one top-three finish away from losing its technical advantages. Both Suzuki and Aprilia have been handed certain advantages to help close the gap to the more established MotoGP manufacturers. These include the opportunity for ongoing development of the engine, being able to use nine engines during the season rather than just seven, and a free rein on testing with official riders, while Honda, Yamaha, and Ducati are limited to just five test days.
